How to Select the Right Pneumatic Actuator
1.
Determine Valve Torque:
Identify the operating breakaway torque of your ball or butterfly valve under maximum differential pressure. Add a safety margin (typically 20%–30% for clean medium, 40%–50% for slurry/viscous medium).

Supply Air Pressure:
Verify the available compressed air pressure at the plant (typically 4.0, 5.0, or 6.0 Bar).
3.
Select Operating Mode:
Choose Double Acting (DA) for standard powered open/close, or Spring Return (SR) for failsafe close / failsafe open on air loss.
4.
Interface Standards:
Match the bottom mounting flange (ISO 5211 / DIN 3337) and drive shaft dimensions (star square / parallel key).
